“Oak Tavern sets root in Lotus Concepts Family Tree”
Lotus Concepts continues to keep up with the Country’s trends. An American Bar in the “heart of the city” gives residents a fresh reason to unwind on Market Street.
DENVER, Colo. June 17, 2009--- Lotus Concepts presents the latest addition to Market Street, a unique yet relaxed place tailored for the Market Street patrons. The location formerly known as Monarck, is undergoing a complete metamorphosis this June 2009. Lotus Concepts owner Francois Safieddine said, “Due to the current economy, Americans have become more fiscally responsible and have taken a more casual approach when unwinding in their free time. Taking that into consideration we developed a concept focusing on delivering a phenomenal product that coincides with this current trend.” Unlike Lotus’ other well-regarded enterprises, Oak Tavern offers a distinctive product and atmosphere that splashes American flavor on traditional style while keeping up with America’s current casual vibe. Oak Tavern will draw the desired demographic because of its masculine worn-in setting encouraging socializing, drinking, eating and entertainment. Oak Tavern invites patrons to throw on their favorite pair of jeans, walk over to gather at this popular, local, casual spot to enjoy specialty mixologist created drinks and grab a bite at the bar.
This reconceptualization serves to diversify and expand Lotus Concepts portfolio, which currently focuses on nightlife concepts: Suite Two Hundred, 24K and restaurant/ lounge: 5 Degrees. “This project is a glimpse into the big picture. Lotus Concepts’ portfolio aims to extend to restaurants, bars, night clubs and hotels,” says Safieddine.
The intent of this venue is to offer a place for patrons to kick back and relax. In order to create this experience, Oak Tavern provides key components including, drink, food, design, music and entertainment.
Oak Tavern’s goal is to take the bar concept to another level by providing an unmatchable product to clients. This is being done by introducing three unique novelties. Safieddine flew in a mixologist, Jason Girard from Phoenix working directly under Francesco Lafranconi currently working on the Four Seasons’ drink menu in Hawaii, to concoct 40 “one of a kind” beverages. All of which includes 16 signature cocktails and a customized shot menu that features 24 specialty shots. A perfect example to describe this would be to compare it to a fine dining restaurant that brings in a world renown chef. The house favorite is the White Gummy Bear shot (Skyy Pineapple, Triple sec, sweet and sour and Sprite.) A draft beer selection will be available as well with a signature “Oak Tavern” draft beer. To accommodate the tavern concept, Safieddine built a kitchen and tailored a menu serving light food items. Popular menu items that stand out are Oak Tavern’s baked potato with a variety of toppings, pressed sandwiches and salads. Not only are the menu items exclusive but they are healthy.

Oak Tavern showcases designs master crafted by designer, Jeffery Elliott. Elliott’s stately reputation and attuned attention to detail allow Oak Tavern to set root on Market Street. Elliott incorporates the bar name in the design by using dark wood. Elliott captures a traditional theme with a palette of designs including; bull horns on the comfortable distressed leather U- shaped booths, animal antlers, wood columns, a massive wooden bar and 12 high definition 52 inch flat screens strategically placed for patrons giving the space an authentic tavern feel.
Another element that creates Oak Taverns ambience is the music genre. Adult contemporary, world class rock and top 40 will be played at a low, non-interfering level. The atmosphere is set for patrons to be able to socialize at a comfortable level. The flat screens will show top 40 music videos and other visuals including classic movies. In addition to the visuals Oak Tavern’s projector screen will be showing all major sporting events including pay per view specials.
The staff at Oak Tavern delivers impeccable service armed with a hand selected employees who demonstrate warmth, graciousness, efficiency, knowledge, professionalism and integrity. “When we hired the staff we really wanted to create a “Cheers,” environment, individuals who want to have fun but still have Oak Tavern’s brand instilled within them,” said Safieddine. “The staff has the power to make it casual and friendly. We want it to be a place that patrons will call their second home.” Shooter, a Denver native and local bartender is friendly enough to know everyone’s first name but at the same time gives Oak Tavern customers a fun yet casual experience. Oak Tavern is open 7 days a week, 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Nesting above Oak Tavern resides another one of Lotus Concepts venues, 24k. This is a more high end, boutique club that goes in a more exclusive direction which caters to the A-List crowd. 24k remains as a bottle service night club featuring some of Denver’s top DJ’s playing Top 40 mash-ups, hip hop and house. Typical of a night club, 24k, is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. Due to the opening of Oak Tavern 24K will now be open Wednesday- Saturday.
Location Oak Tavern is located on Market Street nestled within Larimer Square neighborhood, popular restaurants, sports arenas and the 16th Street Mall. Safieddine and team deemed 1416 Market the best location for a venue of this nature. Oak Tavern aims to cater to Lotus’ sustained loyal clients, new residents to Denver, college students, the service industry crowd, guests who are traveling and the more casual patrons who frequent downtown.
Concept “An American bar in the heart of the city,” is a place where the everyday, social but casual patron will opt to spend their free time. Oak Tavern showcases three renovated areas emphasizing comfort and relaxation while providing a customized cocktail and shot menu created by a mixologist, draft beer and a personalized crafted beer named after the venue. A food menu featuring light items will be available. Oak Tavern also provides entertainment with 12 high definition 52 inch flat screen televisions. Each patron will be sure to connect on a personal level with one or more of the design aspects.
