Denver Happy Hour @ Rack & Rye (1320 15th Street/between Larimer & Market) Wednesday December 16th 5:30pm-7:30pm

What’s up with this weather?! I promise it will be warmer next week for Denver Happy Hour...

The Co-Host for Decembers’ Denver Happy Hour is Melinda Ridgley, Brandt Ronat + Co (Marketing Agency). I met Bryan & Melinda Ridgley via the Internet...They were looking to move to Denver about 3 years ago...We hit it off immediately, kept in touch, became great friends..they moved here about a month ago... Also, they happen to be one of my favorite notable couples in the Universe. Mel is launching a Denver division of her successful marketing company and Bryan accepted a position as a commercial broker @ CBRE. BTW, Melinda is seeking talented marketing/sales types if you know of the best of the best out there looking 

This month we are meeting @ Rack & Rye (the Gastropub) (1320 15th Street/between Larimer & Market)….Rack & Rye was created by one of my best friends Violet Chan. She is a extraordinary woman. She is not only the owner, but the executive chef for Rack & Rye (under the radar of course). Her tastes in food, fashion & beverage are beyond description. The food is very delicious and priced well (lunch under $10, dinner under $16). Open for Lunch and Dinner. Gastropub – high quality food in a pub.

Inside Denver’s newest gastropub

Ah yes, the gastropub. A nationwide trend, and one that's popular for a reason, a gastropub is the classy affair between an upscale eatery and get-your-drink-on bar. It's different from your typical fine dining restaurant experience with a beefed-up drink selection because it plays no favorites. The food and the drink are equally important in a gastropub, and this concept is most certainly upheld at Denver's newest watering and grub hole, Rack & Rye Gastropub.

At Rack & Rye, the mesh between a pub and a restaurant isn't the only thing being mixed up. The owner and creative genius behind the joint, Violet Chan, has put together a menu of traditional comfort food infused with a Southeast Asian kick.

The drink menu also upholds the unlikely cultural blend of flavors, with not only an extensive selection of both domestic and microbrews, but also an array of witty and equally tasty specialty cocktails ranging from A Wicked Wally (Rye Whiskey, Noilly Prat, bitters, splash of sour, soda and sprite and a rinse of absinthe) to a Bonsai Kitty (Belvedere 1X, fresh cilantro, ginger, pineapple juice and a splash of sour, pictured here). Sound interesting? Take a peak at some of these items off their eclectic menu.
